Bulb is poisonous. Used as rodent poison dried chopped up pieces. Arabs call it rat onion. Also sauté with olive oil and use to put on topically for back pain. If the stalk grows very high in August it means that there will be lots of rain in the winter. Certainly worked in 2019/20.
